Medical Courier Work Is More Than Driving
Medical couriers may transport packages that are confidential, time-sensitive, temperature-sensitive, fragile, infectious, hazardous, or regulated.
A single route may involve:
- Patient specimens
- Medical records
- Protected health information
- Prescription medications
- Hazardous drugs
- Radiopharmaceuticals
- Biological substances
- Dry ice
- Laboratory chemicals
- Temperature-controlled packages
- Healthcare supplies
- Electronic delivery records
Medical couriers must know how to protect packages, preserve specimen integrity, maintain chain of custody, follow client instructions, recognize hazards, respond to incidents, and deliver shipments only to authorized recipients.
The CMCP and CMCE programs bring these important subjects together into coordinated, job-role-focused medical courier training.

Build Better Judgment for Real Courier Situations
Professional couriers in the medical field frequently operate without direct supervision.
Training is essential for determining when to proceed and when to halt a route to secure materials or seek guidance.
Our courses empower learners to realize when to:
- Decline cargo showing visible damage
- Initiate contact with dispatch centers
- Alert others to potential privacy breaches
- Protect cargo from thermal degradation
- Accompany shipments with required papers
- Avoid contact with hazardous leakage
- Supervise packages in public spaces
- Log and report incorrect deliveries
- Engage emergency response services
- Comply with client escalation mandates
Excellence in healthcare logistics is defined by consistency, judgment, and clear documentation, moving far beyond mere speed of delivery.
